So a little bit more about me...
A Mississippi girl born and raised, I didn't initially intend on going to Mississippi State University, but after a series of tours, convincing arguments from people around me, and feeling the Lord prompting me towards Starkville, I changed my plans. I knew I wanted to double major from the beginning, and I always knew that communication would be my first major but didn't quite know what the second would be. First, I was studying business (marketing) and communication (public relations). I loved my communication classes and looked forward to going every day. I enjoyed my business law class, but the rest of my business classes left me feeling unfulfilled. After my first semester freshman year, I dropped my business major in hopes of being able to take a variety of classes to fine tune my passions. I was encouraged to take a religion class, and I was instantly intrigued, because I was unaware that Mississippi State even had a religion program. After the first class, I had resolved that combining my love of religion and communication was exactly what I needed to do.
I've served in internships with marketing companies, non profit organizations and academic environments. I've loved each and every part of my educational career and gaining real-world experience. Through courses like public relations writing, public relations production, public relations case problems, and more, I've realized that I also have a deep love for strategic communication and advising others. My internships have given me the opportunity to share stories of businesses, individuals and institutions. I'm excited to further develop my skills and combine my two passions into a career.
This is an about me section, so I feel the need to give a few fast facts ;)

I love the color yellow and have worn something yellow every day since my sophomore year of high school.

Music is a huge part of my life. I grew up playing piano, french horn, ukulele, and singing, but beyond that I love being immersed in the world of music. I like just about any genre and can make a playlist for anyone if I'm given one song that they like. Hence why my Spotify account is linked with my socials, I think that a person's playlists help give you an insight into who they are.

Trying new things is really, really fun for me. I love trying new cuisines, going new places and seeking out new experiences.

When I believe something, I'm all-in. Basically, I am extremely passionate and love sharing about my passions. A few of these things are: mental health, issues within the Christian church, semantics, effective communication, and much more.

Learning is very fun for me, so much so that I have asked for textbooks for birthdays and Christmases multiple times. I soak things up like a sponge and never want to stop learning about new and familiar subjects.
